Out & Proud: Why it is important to learn your LGBTQ+ Histories
The Pacific Pride Foundation is our special panel this evening, sharing some of the milestones of the LGBTQ+ Rights Movement and why it is so important to know our history and remember. We have come a long way in our efforts to move equality forward and we also have a long way to go. Like all marginalized groups, the LGBTQ+ experience stands as an integral strand in the overall multicultural rainbow, and everyone has a right to information that clarifies and explains their stories. The censorship of LGBTQ+ histories, literature, and culture is a form of violence and deprives everyone of the richness of our diversity. Please join us for this informative and uplifting meeting.
No doubt, we will putting some final touches our our PRIDE celebration in August too!
Our monthly meetings are at the heart of what we do. We meet each month on the Second Monday at 7 pm. First Methodist Church, 305 E Anapamu St., Santa Barbara, CA
All are welcome, and we encourage new comers to join us.
